Sorry it's a little late, but here are the Father's Day colors! They're blue, because that's my dad's favorite color. Happy Father's Day to all the fathers around the world! And here's to hoping that my own father's father is feeling better tomorrow (:

Two new poems. Childhood and Monsieur Blanc. The second one is about the dog I had to put down a little over a week ago. Sure, I know he was just a dog, but he was more than that to me. He was my baby boy, and losing him hurts so much more than I thought it would. Maybe I'm overreacting, but he was my baby.

I played around with the Miscellaneous page. The songs are no longer listed on a separate page; the lyrics aren't posted at all. Now, each song has a little tooltip explaining why it's there. Same with a couple of my favorite poems.

There is a new Twitter feed on the left of the homepage. At the moment, it's only on this page, because I don't feel the need to have it on every page with a sidebar. Somehow, I have fallen for the network that is Twitter. I don't know why, but I love it. I don't use it that often, and I tweet more than I read other tweets. I don't spend hours reading other people's tweets, and I don't really follow that many things. (Mostly a couple YouTubers and some Mojangstas.)

Also, the site is back to regular colors! Hope all mothers around the world had a great Mother's Day! (With special regards to my own, dear mother.)

I had to edit and revise the story I was working on for my U. S. Short Story class. So, the updated version has replaced the old one. I totally re-wrote it (starting with a blank document, even!). I copied-and-pasted a few parts. But most of it is re-worked, so check it out: Second Chance!

Also, I changed the colors for Mother's Day. Purple, because that's my mom's favorite color. So, this color scheme is for her. Oh, and I added a list of my favorite poems (by published authors). You'll have to look for them yourself, because I don't want to take any copyrighted stuffs. Y'know.

Two new stories. Had to write them for class, and I kind of (somewhat) like them. They need a lot of work, though. As do most of my stories. But, I share them with you, because... Well, because I can. Check 'em out: Pretty Flowers and The Pianist.

Two more poems. One I kind of wrote for Sammy. I don't know what kind of meaning you get out of the poem, but I wrote it from the eyes of a pet being put down. The other one is just a personal reflection.

New story up: Cheated. It's semi-autobiographical. I cried while writing it (I finished it in about an hour and a half), and I don't know if you'll attach the same emotions I did (it's likely you won't), but I just wanted to warn you. If you're having a good day, you probably shouldn't read it! But I just want to share it, nonetheless.

I also have my untitled, unfinished play up. I kinda gave up on that after I haneded in what I had done. I was writing it for a paper (instead of doing a critical analysis) for my English II class at Herkimer. And, now that I'm not only done with that class but with the college, I'm kinda done working on the play. But, as I've proven with the completion of Second Chance, I might go back to it!

Back to regular colors! Also, I have finally put up all my (finished) stories! (As well as a couple in-progress ones that have chapters finished.) They're not in the usual format they've been in the past: they're not actually an HTML page anymore. I converted them to PDF files, which are how stories are usually spread through the Internet. And with the return of my stories, I've uploaded one I just finished yesterday for a class (Second Chance). I started it probably a year ago, and just lost ambition. But I decided it would work perfectly for an assignment for class, and finished it quickly. (It's amazing how deadlines work.)

Keep in mind my stories have not been edited by a professional. Though I'm a grammar Nazi, and I'm very particular about structure and whatnot, it's almost impossible to edit your own work. You wrote it (obviously), so when you go through and read it again, your mind skips over typos and other mistakes, because you know what it's supposed to say. And with structural and plot issues, sometimes, you need a fresh look at it to help you flush it out. So, my stories are in their "rough" drafts. But, for how they are, I kinda like some of them. I think my favorite is Immortal Mistakes or Maria. Only because I worked longest on them. And I've edited them a few times. So, enjoy!

Easter colors! (I thought Easter was in April. Guess what: it's not.) Also, a few more things! I added more stuff to the Miscellaneous page: a list of the favorite songs, which includes a few new ones (Breaking Benjamin's "Dear Agony", Gotye's "Somebody That I Used to Know", and Linkin Park's "Waiting for the End"); and a little space dedicated to my friends. Because I loves them. Also, McKayla wanted me to put some of her poems on the site, so I did (: They're pretty awesome, so you should check them out! Happy Easter!

I've done so many little changes that I don't remember everything. But I will try to list them out. Colors are back to default. There are now totals listed on the side. The footer has been re-written. Short stories are now sorted into genres. Poems titles are listed on the page the poems are on, instead of having to go to a middle page. Added fictional biographies about fictional characters. Added a picture of Cotton that was in the files, but not on the page. Added content to the Information page (which was previously empty). I also created a site map, and added an Archives/Old News page.

I have no idea what's going on, but for some reason, the top of the site isn't working in Internet Explorer. As much as I try to stick by Microsoft, I really hate their browswer. The site looks absolutely perfect in Chrome. As well as Safari, because they're basically the same browser. (They both use Webkit.) So, don't look at this site using Internet Explorer. It's gonna look broken, as well as lack on some other small details that Internet Explorer doesn't pick up on. (Such as the rounded borders of the buttons and the pretty scrollbar I coded.) So, get Google Chrome!

Wow. It's been way too friggin' long since I've done anything to the site. Where has my ambition gone?

Regardless, I've done some stuff. All the buttons on the top work. Their pages might not have a whole lot of stuff, but there is definitely a page. I added a lot of new poems since the last time there was poetry on the site. (I've probably doubled the poem count. Also, all my poems [that I plan on sharing with you] are up.) I also added a couple songs to my list of favorites. (One in particular is "Hero of War" by Rise Against.)

Oh, and I changed the colors for Saint Patrick's Day. This is temporary, of course. After the seventeenth, the colors will go back to gray, pink, and red. But I feel like this site will be more fun if it changes for holidays (:

To start off the new look, I've uploaded a bunch of pictures, including a couple new ones. I still have a bunch more I need to upload, but since I don't have them with me at the moment, they'll have to wait. Enjoy what's up, though! :D

I still don't know how I'm going to layout the Featured side, but for now, I'm just going to give a link to the Images page, because that's the only thing featured right now :P

After a long hiatus, I've redone LizzyLee.net! Fix any bookmarks you might have made in the past, because I completely scrapped everything from before. If you don't see something from before, be patient. I'll be re-adding everything. Slowly, but surely. I need to get back into this, and I need to keep up on my website. I kind of fell out of it. But I'm determined to bring it all back! Well, as determined as I can get XD Haha.
